Mysterious Weight Loss in the Virtual Barn

New York (Jan. 4, 2009)—Pfizer Animal Health is releasing the first scenario of 2010 for the “Virtual Walk the Pens” simulator. The eighth scenario, available at www.individualpigcare.com/WTPGame, tests players’ ability to identify early signs of trouble to prevent losses in the virtual barn.

When the pigs arrived they looked great and the group’s average weight was around 15 pounds per pig, but now something is up in the virtual barn. The last caregiver has reported that big pigs with good body condition look fine one day and then start to lose flesh the next, even though they seem to be eating. Players must walk the pens and report their observations to the virtual veterinarian who will offer advice. By taking the appropriate actions now, players will be able to get these pigs and the virtual barn back on track. more
